Album Notes
Inspired by the shadow that chased him halfway up the Colorado River late one afternoon on his Harley, Thunder in the Night mixes Cliff Duane McGoon's two passions: music and Harley Davidsons.
Growing Up Is Only Learning How to Die explains how we're all good at losing, we all know how to cry. Sometimes even when you win, you lose.
Don't Look Back is a boozy bar room ballad for face-bashing, glass-eating motorcycle thugs.

McGoon came to the music scene late, having spent a career "filling up people's wastebaskets with junk mail." It wasn't until he retired that he published three mystery novels, then began writing and producing his own songs in this, his debut album. McGoon's lifetime of experience seeps into his lyrics; low-key and with a dead-on mix of pathos and playfulness.
