ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Clint Miller is a legend in Christian country music, a true pioneer. What is true of so many other gospel artists is true of Clint and that is he has relied upon the Lord, His grace and His leading to make something of worth out of his ministry. Clint Miller, however, had another gift from the Lord working in his favor and that was a strong work ethic coupled with determination.

The Lord used Clint's father, George Miller, to impart these valuable gifts to his son. Before Clint was born, his 21-year-old father lost his left arm in a farming accident. Still, Clint never forgot his father's life long determination to provide for his family. Just 11 days after the tragic accident, George Miller was back home working on his farm. George has a wife and at that time one child at home that he needed to provide for and he would not let them down.

George and his wife had seven more children and Clint was the youngest in the family. The perseverance to overcome adversity that Clint saw in his father impacted his entire life.

Clint was born in Wessington Springs, South Dakota in 1949, but when he was 7 the family moved to Los Angeles, California. George Miller worked until he had saved enough money to open his own business. In no time, the entire family was working at Miller's Service Station and Garage in Santa Monica. God blessed the business and in time the Miller station expanded into several locations.

As a teenager Clint developed a love for music. In his ninth year of school, he entered Hollywood Professional School full time and graduated with honors including the President's Award and the Gold Key Award.

From there, Clint became an honor student at the highly prestigious Don Martin School of Radio and Television and signed with VMC Records and the Charles Stern Advertising Agency.

Clint released many original songs with VMC Records. He also performed on many commercials for Charles Stern. It was during this time in his life when he met and developed friendships with many stars of that day including Charlton Heston, Glen Ford, Kenny Rogers, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. Clint also starred and toured with musical comedies Hoop & Holla and Oklahoma.

It was during this highly successful time of his life that Clint met Candy Morrow. He was working at Metromedia Television for Ralph Edward's Truth or Consequences TV Show with Bob Baker. Clint and Candy moved to and were married in Garden Grove in 1970. In September of 1973 their first son was born, Cheyenne. Seven years later their second son, Cody, was born.

Because of his family background, Clint learned to love business. In 1974 he established a multi million-dollar company called Miller's Carpet Care. It began in his garage April 15th and by 1979 the company was doing over 7 million dollars in annual sales. At the same time he developed a manufacturing company called Serva Steam and an advertising company called Greenway. All three companies were simultaneously successful.

It seemed that only good things could happen for Clint Miller and his family, but he realized that there was something missing. In October of 1984 Clint Miller received Jesus as his Savior, through the prompting of Cheyenne, who was just 11 years old at the time. Clint was back in California from Nashville when Cheyenne invited his to attend a little church that had just started. Clint reluctantly agreed to go. Clint went to the church the first time in July of '84, and by October he was gloriously saved and was soon pursing Jesus with the same incredible enthusiasm with which he had pursued everything else in his life.

Combining his background in his business, marketing and music, Clint and his family moved to North San Diego county in December of 1990 and began North County Baptist Church. God has richly blessed their first 12 years.

In 1990, Clint started Miller Music and has been spending a lot of time in the studio with stars like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Freddie Hart, Jack Clement, Del McCoury, Ronnie McCoury, Rob McCoury, Jason Carter, Mike Bub, John Carter Cash, Jimmie Tittle, Jeff White, Jamie Hartford, Sharon and Cheryl White and the Jordanaires.

With all of his other accomplishments one might think that his own music ministry has been overshadowed. Though Clint is not one to brag on himself or his many awards, they are too numerous to be overlooked.

Clint has released 12 CD's two of which have reached #1. His 28 single releases have all been top charting songs.
His many awards include:

Country Christian Artist of the Year European Market 2000
Country Christian Artist of the Year 2001
Overseas Artist of the Year 2001
Christmas Album of the Year 2001
European Country Music Association Gospel Artist of the Year 2001
Independent Country Music Association German Gospel Song of the Year 2001
ICMAG Gospel Song of the Year
ICMAG Artist of the 20th Century

All of that recognition doesn't however; mean that Clint is ready to rest. With John Carter Cash scheduled as Clint's current producer, he is scheduled to record a single with Johnny Cash.

Clint recently produced two new songs by Freddie Hart. One is a rewrite of Freddie's classic “Easy Lovin” with the new title being “God is Easy Lovin.” Clint enjoys writing, producing and performing and is scheduling to perform with the great Tompall Glaser this year.

Clint's latest release has been a labor of love. “A Grateful Nation” is Clint's latest single and is swiftly climbing the charts. Clint was recently quoted as saying, “we must not fail to show our appreciation of the folks in uniform who fight our fires, win our wars and keep our country free.”

Currently Clint is living in Escondido, California, writing and producing his own songs as well as hits for many other artists. Clint's most often repeated comment is “I owe it all to God and DJ's.”
