High in the Frequency

by Cochise Parliament

These songs are personal, emotional, and a mix of rock, emo, mellow, and ethereal soundscapes. All songs written, arranged, and primarily played by Cassidy. He had tremendous help from incredible players and producers. I hope you dig it.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Engineered by Taylor Tatsch and David Castell. Produced by Cassidy Armstrong, Taylor Tatsch and David Castell. Mixed and Mastered by David Castell.

About the music:

People tell me, "I love it but I can't really place it." That about sums it up. Cassidy wrote and arranged all the songs. He played drums, some piano, rhythm guitar, some lead guitar, and all midi-keys. Taylor played bass on all songs, church organ, most of the piano, and anything that sounds like a pro guitar player vs a drummer pretending to be a guitar player (that would be Cassidy.) Co producing credits to Taylor Tatsch and David Castell. Enough cannot be said about their influence and contribution to getting these songs from one man's brain into sonic reality.

Cassidy is a drummer first and these songs, I think, reflect that. They all have rhythmic simplicity that creates a backbone of solid drums and bass on every song. That being said, Cassidy's influences bring out dissonance and ethereal soundscapes that, at times, wash into a mix of intertwining but mutually exclusive melodies. This creates the "style" of Cochise Parliament.

Cassidy wrote and recorded these songs with no end game in mind. He realized his vision with great help from Taylor and David. If High in the Frequency doesn't sell one copy Cassidy will still cherish this opportunity to make his vision come true; forever.

We hope you dig it.
