A Native of St. Louis, Missouri, Colleen has been treating fans to an incredible array of songwriting and performing, blending soaring, passionate vocals with strong hooks and lyrics. Colleen's performances and songs entrance her audiences, sweeping them up in the emotions of her heartbreaking melodies, soulful lyrics, and rip-roaring, foot stomping energy.

Additional outstanding performances on Three Miles From Odessa include drummer Abe Speller (drummer with Steve Forbert, The Spin Doctors, and Jon Herington (of Steely Dan); percussionist and keyboardist Robert Levin (percussionist with the Lion King on Broadway); bassist Danny Dunlap (studio bassist for Sting and Dr. Dre); and members of the Cornerstone Institutional Baptist Church Choir, including the renowned gospel singer/vocal director, Malcolm Speed.

Singing professionally by the age of fifteen, Colleen honed her performing abilities singing pop, and rhythm and blues in midwestern nightclubs. After obtaining a degree in music from the University of Missouri, Colleen pursued her love of songwriting, moving
to the east coast where she delved into the singer-songwriter circuit. She currently resides in Nashville, TN where she is working on her third, independent cd.

Colleen McFarland Is AWSOME
I just purchased a copy of Three Miles From Odessa and am wondering, "where has this voice been hiding"? The CD is awsome, and so is Colleen I want to hear more.....
I cant believe a label from Collingswood, N.J. could put out such a gem. I only had to hear track one "A Well Worn Man" to get hooked on her. all the way to the 13th track it kept me hooked. I need to know where I can find her 1st CD. Girl if you're reading this, You're a Wonderful Talent and should find a major label........
