Richard began his career in the late 1970's performing solo in clubs in the San Francisco Bay area.
He later formed a duo with Miche Evans called "Richard and Miche." In 1982 Richard and Miche recorded and produced their debut album "Take a Chance" on Daphne Records.
The album consisting of all original music was a huge success in the Bay Area and the duo became mainstays in the local nightclub scene.
Richard moved to Portland, Oregon in 1985 and later enrolled in the Music Program at Portland State University where he earned a degree in classical guitar.
Returning to school as an adult and an accomplished musician gave Richard the confidence to push his own musical limits.
He continues to play and perform music rooted in the folk tradition but is equally comfortable with classical works.
Richard's compositions blend influences from Spanish to Celtic, New Age to Classical.
He currently performs and teaches guitar from his studio in Portland, Oregon.
