ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Night Sessions is a generously filled 15-track CD of timeless gems, recorded and produced by Duncan MacKay from Down South Studios. Night Sessions takes listeners on a journey inspired by songs of love, loss and hope, Both artists are known for performing across genres and for this disc they have focused on ballads and jazz standards, reworking them to create a new easy listening experience – their aim is to tell the story of each song as honestly and beautifully as possible.

The album represents their 4year working relationship. They have performed at such varied events such as the Kirstenbosch Millennium Concert and Classical Chamber Music Series and the Big Blues Festival in 2009. They have sold out shows at the Baxter Theatre and the Greyton Rose Festival. In 2011 they will be performing in the Endler Concert Series as well as a welcome return to the Baxter Theater.

Louise recorded her first CD "Your Song" - a programme of songs and arias across the styles - in 2005. She is also a regular presenter on FMR with her programme For the Love of Opera and is the manager of the Cape Town Concert Series.

Albert is a renowned repetiteur and accompanist as well as member of the CT Tango Ensemble, and in addition to recordings of classical music has released 2 Tango CD’s El Tango en Africa and Tango Club.
