Album Notes
After doing my first bedroom EP, Shifting, I spent a couple years of soul searching and finding a bit more of my sound. It's a never ending process, but I wanted to take a snap shot to show people what dances in my ears.

My producer and I were passionate about making this consistent with my motto: sung with young spirit and old soul. So here it is: electronica beats that I made on my lap top, over acoustic instruments recorded to tape in a retro studio. The sound is amazingly united and smooth.

I couldn't be more excited about how retro and modern sounds move so romantically together.

Here is what others have said about my music:

“She has made our way to [AMP]'s
shortlist of talents to watch for the second
half of 2010. Connie is one of the most
brilliant emerging vocalists out there”

"I think she is a cross between Norah Jones and
Shakira. L&L hearts Connie Lim" --L&L Talent Agency

“…haunting, but beautiful… definitely
an intriguing artist and I look forward to
hearing what her EP will sound like.”

“exuberant…more a labor
of love than an effort to impress”
--The Daily Californian

"Connie really channels a Sarah McLachlan vibe."
-- a-tunes.net

“The sound of the Connie Lim can be described as
exuberant,… more a labor of love than an effort to impress.”
—Ryan McDonald for The Daily Californian

“If you want to see great musicianship and synergy
between a singer songwriter, her band, and her audience,
go check out Connie Lim... There's a bit of funk,
some r&b and a lot of great pop thrown into their sound.”
—Dawen Wang, 5 Asian American Artists' Songs
