Album Notes
This long-awaited project by Consonance is dedicated to Rev. Sam Cox. Sam was the long-time drummer for the group who passed away before the cd was completed. However, we do have Sam giving a wonderful performance on the song “It’s Time to Praise The Lord”. Thank you Sam for the gift you left with us.

The songs and arrangements on this project were written by Mack Williams and inspired by his love of traditional gospel, Reggae, Hip-Hop, Country and blues music. The variety of the selections on the cd will certainly appeal to a diverse group of listeners and confirm the musical gift God gave to Mack. The songs flow from one superior performance to another. In fact, there is not one "filler song" on the entire cd.

There are also some stirring guest performances€ by guitarists Lloyd Gregory and Levi Seacer. Their musical talents are obvious when you listen to Lloyd playing guitar solos on "Good News Blues #1 and #3". Lloyd is a jazz recording artist in his own who has played with some of the most notable jazz artists. Then we have been blessed to have Levi soulfully playing guitar on "My Song”, “Do The Right Thang” and “Close to You”. These selections are awesome praises that make you love the vocal and musical skills of the group. Levi is an internationall acclaimed musician who has toured with such notebook artists such Ms. Jodie Watley and Prince and the New Revolution.

Much appreciation is also given to Minister Marvin Webb for his performance on “Hold Me Jesus”. The same can also be said of Australian-born singer Ms. Lisa Shah who sings beautifully on “You Gotta Stay Holy”. She is joined on this cut by "the poster boy of positive rap", Saeed Williams. Thank you all for sharing your talents with Consonance. And we cannot forget the background work by Umoja Community Choir members on “Surely You Know God Is Real”. Theie background vocals really made this song come alive.

Finally, thank you Derrick Hall, Lloyd Gregory and Levi Seacer for your awesome production skills. This project would not exist were it not for your support and dedication. Also thank you Al “June-June” Stewart for your creative artwork and lay-out . And many thanks are in order to the members of Consonance: Larrie Noble, Sr., Paul Foster, Jr, Rev. Melvin Williams, Bobby Reed, the late Rev. Sam Cox and Mack Williams. You guys continue to amaze me with your vocal skills and innovative musical style. I have been truly blessed to be associated with such a talented group of Christian men.

Purchase a copy of this cd as soon as you can. I promise you, it will bless you in so many ways.

I have the first two cd's by this group. Both are good, but this new cd, Come on in This House, is off the chain. If I had to use one word to describe, it would..........AWESOME!!!!.,

Consonance's "Come On In This House"
I purchased a copy of this cd at a concert this group was giving in Albany, California. First, let me tell you the cd is great, but their live performance was beyond expectations. They can really perform. But, back to the cd. I love it!! There are several songs on the cd that are my favorites. The transition from song to song keeps the listener's expectations at a high level, and the group does not fail to deliver. There are soulful slow songs and upbeat tempo songs that keeps you tapping your toes. This is a great cd. Oh and the good news blues songs are fantastic, but the next to the last cut, "My Song" is really a beautiful, inspiring praise song that features a wonderful guitar solo at the end. All and all I believe no one will find this cd is not worth the price. I give it 5 stars and an extra star for good measure. Love it!!!
