Album Notes
The lyrics for Ship Of Fools were inspired by a short story of the same name (about the future of technology) by Theodore Kaczynski. No members of Continuous Audio Transmission in any way agree with, or endorse, the actions that landed Mr. Kaczynski in prison. However, luminaries such as Ray Kurzweil and Bill Joy have published written recognition of the merits of Kaczynski's argument regarding the future of technology, as laid out in Kaczynski's essay "Industrial Society and Its Future." It was renamed "the unabomber manifesto" by mainstream media, while Kaczynski was still at large.
