ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tom Conway is the guitarist in the gypsy jazz group 'Gypsy Pacific' which is based in Maui, Hawaii and this is his first release under his own name. This CD is a collection of some of Tom's favorite tunes in the gypsy jazz style and features compositions by Django Reinhardt, Titi Winterstein, Romane and others.

"Conway's trio may just be the hottest Hot Club-style band in the U.S."
- Vintage Guitar magazine, Feb 2003

"A homer from left field - a different discovery for the discriminating jazz fan"
- Honolulu Advertiser, Feb 23, 2003

"A CD with lots of energy" - MauiTime Weekly

"What strikes right away is the energy and the enthusiasm of the trio" - Etudes Tsiganes (France)

"Up onstage, four string players who had clearly paid their dues burned through a Jazz Age swing set worthy of the Hot Club of France. Somewhere, Django's ghost was smiling."
- Maui News
