ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I'll Be Alright contains a unique selection of material that was co-written by Cooper Getschal and some very successful songwriters. The variety is tasteful and the singing is Soulful.

1. The Title Song "I'll Be Alright" may be familiar to you if you are a fan of Kenny G. I co-wrote that song with Lyndie White-Wenner. Famous Music got it to Clive Davis who gave it to Kenny G who recorded it on his Silhouette CD. It's a song about the end of a relationship and knowing deep down, even though it hurts now, you'll get over it.

2. "You're Right, She's Left and I'm Wrong" is a silly little thing that ties the words right, left and wrong together and It's fun to say. These lyrics were in my files for several years before I rediscovered them and decided to put the song together.
3. "Most Of The Time" is a collaboration between me and my mother who was a professional songwriter in the 40', 50's and 60's. Most Of The Time is one of the last things she started and I really enjoyed finishing it.
4. "You Can't Fix Stupid" is a great title that my good friend Burt Reynolds gave to me. It was incredibly quick to write. I found out later that there was a comedian with a show on cable called "You Can't Fix Stupid". I believe it's Ron White. If you know him please give him this song!
5. "My Ride" is a good old car song about a boy and his vehicle. This music video is something that I am enjoying working on. We've got lots of great cars to shoot and some interesting locations too.
6. "Because It's Love"- Is the story of a lover who has left. I cowrote this song with Jim Weatherly in Nashville in the early 90's. It started out with the title "If It's Love" but while I was recording it I felt it should be more positive. This is the acoustic version.
7. I'm Wishing You Were Here Again- Sometimes we wish things could be like they were in the past. I co-wrote this one with Lyndie White Wenner. We had demoed it with a female lead vocal. While looking through my catalog I realized I hadn't recorded it with a male lead. And so here it is on this CD.
8. The Only Thing Wrong With Her- Have you ever looked at your woman and thought "She's too good for me." The title for this song popped up during a writing session with my good friend Anthony James who has more titles in his head than anyone I know.
9. It Only Looks Like We're In Love- Jeff Barry and I wrote this song up in the Hollywood Hills. The original demo had Richard Elliott playing sax on it. This was another song i found that hadn't been recorded for release. It was fun going back there mentally.
10. I Don't Want To Be The One- I used to live next door to the BlueBird Cafe in Nashville. Ray Vega and I wrote this song in my studio there. It's got a Roy Orbison kind of thing to it.
