ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Cordelia Stephens is an English-American folk artist whose voice combines power and vulnerability, and whose incisive songwriting explores the contradictions of modern life and love drawing on her musical influences such as Aimee Mann and Gillian Welch. Her sophomore album Wide Awake Dream was released in October 2016. Her killer band, brings tremendous musicianship, humor and energy to every show. Her debut album- Threshold- produced by Riley McMahon at New Warsaw Studio, was officially released in a sold-out show at The Living Room in 2012.

Cordelia Stephens grew up in England singing requiems in school choirs and in a blues-gospel choir while at art school in Scotland. When she moved to New York in 2002 she immersed herself in the Lower East Side singer-songwriter scene, simply listening to as much as possible and singing back-up with various bands before putting together her own. Cordelia and her band play regularly at New York City.
