Album Notes
Marilyn's warm and sultry voice is an unmistakable original. Her CD, "The Jazz Project," features Marilyn's soulful performances of tasty traditional and straight-ahead jazz, r & b, swing, soulful ballads, and Latin rhythms.

Marilyn performs around the U.S. and international travels including Paris, London, Munich, cities in Italy and Spain, Croatia and others. Marilyn has opened for musical artists: Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Edwin McCain, blues artist Beth Hart and others.

Marilyn sings the national anthem for NBA teams including the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Houston Rockets, and for special events including the IMG Grand Prix in Cleveland and the WGAR-FM Country Jam.

At age three, Marilyn wrote her first song on piano and began studying music and learning to play every instrument she could find. As a teenager she began focusing all of her musical talents on her favorite styles... pop, jazz, and r & b. What is reflected in Marilyn's music today is the passion and appreciation for diverse soulful musical styles, an innate love of rhythm and excitement to always create something new.

With the excellent reviews and excitement about "The Jazz Project," Marilyn Cordial's debut release is jazz hit. Be sure to seek out her live shows in support of this great album and her always exciting performances.

The Jazz Project
Ms. Cordial brings a great jazz interpretation to some recognizable favorites. Her sultry and rich voice reminds one of the sounds of Julie London and Diana Krall and her up-beat numbers illustrate her range and versatility. Great choice of songs with quality musicians and arrangements. A great addition to your jazz and pop collection!

I can put Marilyn Cordial's music on and it takes me back to the best jazz and R&B night clubs from the past. Suddenly I'm swept away from the stress of every day, and instead moving my body and singing along to one of the most moving voices I've heard. Where has she been hiding?

The Jazz Project by Marilyn Cordial
Miss Cordial's unique combination of vocal power and range make this album a must listen! Special here are her "scat-take" on the Lenny Welch classic "Since I Felt For You", an amazing rendition of "When I Fall In Love" (which comes across as a hybrid between a lullaby and a siren song), and the timeless "Ain't Misbehavin", which comes off as a faithful version of the Fats Waller standard.
