A Bad Year for Love

by The Cornell Hurd Band

Wildly creative Hardcore Texas Honky Tonk. Mostly songs about failed love, chronic alcoholism and leavin' town. Oh, yeah...PLUS six fabulous instrumentals that harken back to the '60s...when we had hit instrumentals...

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is our latest release. It's primarily original music, although fans will recognize Invitation to the Blues, a big hit for Ray Price. This is our seventeenth CD. Our songs have been recorded by everyone from Texas legend Johnny Bush to rocker Glen Tilbrook (Squeeze.)
This record may seem to dwell on life's misery and personal failures...but, hey...it's not REAL country music unless it has a blues element to it. Hank Williams knew it in his heart.
We primarily play Texas dances. We play for men and women who want to touch each other in public. That swinging dance feel is reflected in this CD.
