ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
All In Good Fun is the debut record of the Detroit-based Cory Allen Trio. Inspired by records like Jim Hall's "Live!", Bill Evans "Sunday at the Village Vanguard", and Wes Montgomery's "Smokin' at the Half Note", Cory's goal for the album was to have a swingin', joyous, and fun vibe throughout while still displaying the unique musical sensibilities of each group member both as individuals and as bandmates. With All In Good Fun, the group debuted 5 of Cory's compositions along with a varied selection of standards and covers.

We hope you enjoy hearing the album as much we did recording it.

Was Missing his Playing...
First hear Cory at MSU Jazz Studies, so he played shows there and gigs around town. Always liked his style and missed him when he graduated. Now I can hear him again on CD! Congrats Cory and as always, sounds very tasty on these samples so I know I'll like it.
