ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Portland Mercury-
"The wood-paneled, orange-hued, shaggy, corduroyed, butterfly-collared style and sounds of the funk-rock '70s are brought to life and spread around the stage like a slick tub of Cosmic Butter got knocked over
Influenced by a lot of funk , rock, and RnB of the late 70's and early 80's. It is a mixture of all that blended with a southern twang and love of science fiction. It is truly a trip to behold."

Cosmic Butter was born out of a love of Funk and Soul music. Todd, Dave, and Barry combined forces in 2015 to form the band. The three of them have a long history of playing together, most recently as Cicada Omega. They grew up playing music together in Kentucky. After moving to Portland OR they began digging deeper into their personal roots, and that's when they dug up some of that thick sound they came to know as Cosmic Butter. An otherworldly blend of Lo-Fi, Sci-Fi, Southern Soul.
