Album Notes
Features the song "Leaving" as heard on the HBO series "True Blood." Back around the turn of the century down in the Big Easy, four good ole boys grew exhausted of the trail country music had taken, so they began paying tribute to roots music greats in neighborhood bars and backyard parties. Driven to succeed they ride on, developing the unique old-school music style down the original country path. They first saddled up a posse of three- Whiskey T, Red Stick, and BIG Country.
Whiskey T hails from upstate New York, but began his guitar pickin' ways in the south of Mississippi before making his way to New Orleans in 1995. Taylor Garrett, now known as Red Stick, made the short trip down river from Baton Rouge around the same time. The two met and began strumming together soon afterwards. Realizing their love and quest for music, they set out to be heard, but they needed a lead singer.
Lifelong friend of Red Stick, Brian "BIG Country" Ayres had returned from travels west and little convincing was needed for him to join his friend in the most interesting city in the world. The trio began writing and playing weekly gigs at the Mystic Café and The Bulldog, but a low end was surely missing. Kentucky bass player, Bourbon Brad Klamer soon joined the gang, solidifying what would become the acoustic quartet, COUNTRY FRIED.
With workaday woes, an album in the saddlebag, and an itchin' for the road; the guys are ready for action. Their originals are a branch off of old-time country with harmonica and harmonies, but covers of classic country and various "countrified" roots songs keep the crowd singing along. You can catch them all around the Crescent City, and at home at the Kingpin Bar on Sundays, where country music fans are appearing miraculously from behind the velvet Elvis's. The hunt for New Orleans twangers shall continue, but on the road is where they're headed. Every honky tonk and every roots music festival in every city or down home town should have some hot COUNTRY FRIED on the menu.

Ol' Time Country with a kick!
These pay homage to the real roots of country music, but then add so much more! They combine great vocal harmonies with uniqe songwriting, and excellent musicianship to give the listener a totally new sound in country music. Basically these guys jam, and then will play you an old J.C. favorite to get your feet movin'. Pick yourself up a copy or if the Nawlins' are check out a live show. Be hip to the Country Fried, THE HOTTEST THING in country music in a long time.

Play me some Country Fried, and pour me a drink.
This is a complete album, which is hard to find these days. No need to skip any tracks, this is pure country music in overdrive. Great, unique lyrics and beatiful vocal harmonies make this band very original. Straight outta New Orleans, they keep it real to there heroes, Waylon, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, but put a Country Fried Stamp on it all. Great buy, what are you waiting for, BUT IT NOW!!!

Handmade music with country soul
If you like acoustic music, get yourself a copy of "Nowhere no More." Hand-made music with originality. The great lead vocals of "Big Country" somtimes haunting, sometimes Johnny Cashish, but always good. The driving bass of "Bourbon Brad" is the backbone of the old and new Country Fried Tunes. The great songwriting of "Whiskey T" and Cole, is just superb, and "Redstick" has the timing of a grandfather's clock. Listen for yourself, and buy this record, or stop by and check out a live show and buy them a Shot! They deserve it, a well balance record that all music fans can enjoy!

Not your average country Band!
This is not an average country band, turn off CMT and buy this record. This is hard-drivin' country soul that can make you dance, and then make you cry. There is more that Jazz in New Orleans, and these guys bring Great music to the table, Their Jazz Fest performance was one of the best acts of the year! you can pick up that set at, or You get so much more than country music with this record, unique style, which pays a tribute to the influential country legends. A great listen for all music lovers!

Right Here, All Day...................
...that should be the album title. This is great stuff. The album is a snapshot of their capabilities, and a genre defining one at that. It is more that country, I like to think of it a "country Soul" music. It also has a little southern rock influence in it. Buy it you won't be disappointed!!!! If you have the chance, check them out live, beyone their great originals they add tasteful covers from Johnny Cash, Bob Marley, The Band, Little Feat, Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams, Gram Parsons, John Prine, Howlin' Wolf, Merle Haggard, Johnny Horton, and many more. Just a fun band, and a fun record, pick it up and play it loud.

Modern Country Music does not get any better than this.
that is a FACT! I do not like to even genre-alize this record, because it has some much more heart and soul involved than your modern CMT country Band. This "real" country-infused acoustic music. You hear the ol' classic country influence, but Country Fried has a very distinct sound, that sets them apart from the rest. A very great CD-Complete and not a song to skip over. An instant Classic, you will be very glad after this purchase. And check out their live New Orleans Jazz and Heritage set on Shows off what these cats can do in a live setting as well. Keep on pickin' Country Fried, lookin' forward to a new Record soon! Thanks!!!!!

It's Great sharing a city with this band!
I am so glad that Country Fried is a local band in the city in which I reside. They are one of the best acts in New Orleans(a city known for it's Jazz Music), but I am tellin' ya Country Fried is as Hot as the asphalt on a Sunny day during mid-afternoon in New Orleans. This record is special, it's genre breaking songs touch on the roots and venture into new territory. They have got it all in one sweet package, great songwriting, great vocal harmonies, and their music comes from the soul. I guess you could call this "Country Soul" music. Buy it, dance to it, love it and share it with your friends. I can't wait for their next record. (they also have a live New Orleans Jazz and Heritage CD you can purchase @ Also recommended. ENJOY!!!!!! I am sure you will!

I dont like country, but I love Country Fried.
It takes a lot for me to like a country song these days, much less a an entire album. No Where, No More has incredible tracks. Louisicano is the Shit, as is Me and My Bitch. Keep doing your thing Fellas, I cant wait for your next album.

Good Times!
I saw Country Fried at New Orleans Jazz Fest, and thought they were great fun, so when I got home I looked up their website and bought this CD. The great food and beer at Jazzfest had not affected my judgement- Nowhere No More is a really enjoyable CD. God knows a Kentucky gal like me loves a band who sing about drinkin' whiskey and hangin' out in bars!

I finally found something new that I can listen to!!
These guys are great!!! Country Fried is a group of young guys that know what real music is and they damn sure know how to play it. I bought this album over a month ago and it hasn't left my CD player since. I could go on forever, but I'll stop by just saying one word: THANKS!!!!!!
