ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Craig has spent decades perfecting his performing and songwriting skills. He
has released three albums and two singles of American roots music. His poetic
songs invoke first-person accounts of life’s twists and turns, spot-on depictions
of contemporary characters, and stories about love and loss. He is influenced
by Texas songwriters such as Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt, as well as more
contemporary artists including Lucinda Williams and Steve Earle.

This new album, “Absolute Surprise” expands the scope of Craig’s previous
work by the addition of songs that feature a blues and R&B feel. The title cut showcases his skill at
painting pictures with words. Craig says, “When I started performing this song,
listeners responded enthusiastically. The lyrics describe a scene between two
acquaintances in a bar, and unfold as an unexpected love affair begins. The
lyrical details are critical in making the scene believable.”

"Absolute Surprise" feels a lot like listening to a great jukebox in a cozy, familiar spot...you just want to sing along.
