ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Psycho path of life is an assortment of songs that were lyrics in several notebooks from long ago that were never yet recorded. New material is recorded as well. They somehow fit into the theme of madness in the modern world as well as madness in general. All songs express the richness and pleasure of a world gone mad. This is the original Crap Detectors with the exception of NO Herb Hill on Drums. Jim Jacobi is on guitar/bass/keys/vocals and percussion. Guests are Brad Krieger on Trumpet/Trombone and Joe Malnack on Saxophones with several mystery drummers. Brad Krieger worked on the Crap Detectors second release, “Police State/Set Program “in 1979 and would be considered one of the original Detectors as well. This is a blend of rock and atonal whackyness in the long line of Jacobi/Detector releases. A must for someone with a taste for the absurd.

On the Psycho Path of Life review
Yeah, I enjoyed your latest CD. I especially like the spoken word/abstract stuff you've been doing for the last few projects. Very strange and interesting creations. Don't stop making music, Jim. The world needs more people like you! Remember, Van Gogh wasn't understood in his day, but he created unique, beautiful, and original work that took time to catch on. You know how it is...most people need to be told what to like. So, I wouldn't spend much thought on being liked or not. You are a truly creative person, so keep on creating!! To hell with everyone else!

Got the CD yesterday, great stuff... I like the remake of Marie's Oasis and I like what you did with the horns! In a psycho world you remain a voice of sanity.... keep it up.

I really like what I hear. the line about (paraphrase) "a world with ego but no soul" has stuck with me. I'm very proud to have been part of it, thanks.
