ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"It's a Wrap!" ...

Was the catchphrase at the end of a long recording session in early October 2008. After many long hours with rhythm players, brass musicians, studio singers and even an a-cappella quartet (not to mention countless cups of coffee!), the album was final all wrapped up. The true Spirit of Christmas captured on a very special CD project for The Salvation Army.

Wrapping is an enigma - pretty paper designed to hide a gift that you really want the recipient to see and love. Unimportant on its own, the wrapping only takes on significance when it is surrounding a real gift.

Once the gift is opened, there is no need for the wrapping paper anymore. The gift is now exposed for all to see and enjoy. The wrapping paper is only a temporary indication of the greater gift waiting underneath.

In many ways, it's all "a wrap" - the presents, the family time, the Christmas rituals... it's all wrapping for the greatest story ever told - the story of a divine baby wrapping himself in human flesh to dwell among us.

This Christmas season, it's time to unwrap Christmas to experience the real gift. May you experience God's richest blessings this Christmas!
