Album Notes
The arrival of a baby is one of those rare moments when we get to witness the miracle of new life and the joy it brings. Families spend months preparing for the arrival of this blessing, preparing a room and eagerly anticipating the birth. When the baby comes, we see and celebrate the freshness of a life with all its endless possibilities and potential.

The arrival of this baby was a little different to most. An angel chorus suddenly appeared singing, "Glory to God in the Highest": and wise men trekking by the light of a strange new start showed this child had been greatly anticipated. But the nature of this arrival couldn't have bee more humble: a baby born in a lowly stable, cradled in a manger where the hay was placed for the animals.

The Salvation Army anticipates Christmas with great joy. We are humbled by the need around us and are reminded of our responsibility to serve the many needs in our society out of love and compassion.

We are also filled with great joy in remembering the baby born that first Christmas and honouring the reason he came: this baby came not just to show us new life but also to give us new life.

As you "unwrap" Christmas this year, it's our prayer that you discover the limitless possibilities of the new life that Jesus came to bring.
