Live for Today

by Cris Cuddy Acoustic Unit

Sparkling harmonies in the vein of CSN adorn songs somewhere between Mumford and Willie, by a guy who wrote "Old Freight Train" for Prairie Oyster and Jim Hurst plus a guitar wiz who sometimes moonlights with GORGG and a certified Wild Man on DogHouse !

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Cris Cuddy Acoustic Unit or CCAU is a trio which delivers an exciting hybrid acoustic roots sound with Pierre "MonAmi" Bordeleau on lead acoustic and Andrew "The Wild Man" Heathcote on String Bass and both providing strong harmony vocals and lots of energy onstage and in recordings. Vocalist Cris Cuddy sang and wrote records for indie favorites Max Mouse and The Gorillas and Jeremy Dormouse and was described in Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine by Glenn O'Brien as "Tortured-With-A-Twist-Honkey-Soul-Twang" and as "Van Morrison meets Elvis Costello" by EmmyLou's Hall of Fame Producer Brian Ahern. As a solo artist he has several projects recorded in Nashville and Toronto and his songs have been covered by many artists including the award-winning Canadian country-rock band Prairie Oyster, IBMA winners the Spinney Brothers and also award-winning bluegrass picker Jim Hurst whose performance of Cris's song "Long and Lonesome Freight Train" at the IBMA's is stunning.
As is "Live for Today", the first CD from The Cris Cuddy Acoustic Unit/CCAU !
