Album Notes
With their new release - ‘Reset’ - Crosswinds offer eleven tracks of sophisticated pop infused with elements of funk, jazz, blues and rock. From the opening chord onwards, the UK-Canadian band serves up a rich musical soundscape that binds together stories of tangled lives, loves and hopes. Anchored by Joe Wee’s keyboards and soulful vocals, and embellished with Marcus Taylor’s stylish guitar leads, the album balances compelling songwriting with tasteful musicianship.

Within the melting pot of influences that combine for Crosswinds musical vision, you can catch hints of Steely Dan, Neil Young, Peter Gabriel and Paul Simon among others. Signature tunes include ‘Long Time Coming’, with its funky groove and tasteful guitar licks, and subtle beauty of 'The Dance' with its haunting vibe, soaring vocals and spanish-style solo.

A product of years of intensive collaboration, the album is ably backed by Matt Snowden’s groove-driven drums and the layered supporting vocals of Ben Bell. While both Joe and Marcus have followed their personal and professional lives to different sides of the Atlantic, they remain committed to a musical collaboration that is unbroken since they first began composing songs together in the late 1990s.
