ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"A top-notch composite of both chops and convincing musical moves, Curtis demonstrates the guitarist's impressive skills both as a guitar stylist and composer."
20th Century Guitar

"His sound is all his own, floating between jazz and rock... Curtis shows off his strong sense of melody and composition. Each song is a musical journey."
Guitar World

"A guitar style marked by an absence of clichés"
Guitar Nine

Curtis' self-titled debut CD on IF6WAS9 Records was released in 1998. Fifty percent of his profits from the sale of this CD are donated to Cancer related charities. His second CD, "Room 137", released April 2001 marks the next step in his instrumental journey, music that melds melodic rock, jazz and blues.

Curtis is a native of southern California. He performs through out the southwest with his band; Rob Chismar on drums and Dave Hill on bass. Curtis has been actively involved in promoting the instrumental guitar scene in Los Angeles. He appears on the Guitarapalooza compilation CD's Vol I and II.

"An album that future generations of guitar players will listen to and learn from because it's packed with such a variety of rhythms, feels, tones and ideas."
- Jim Warner, Redondo Beach, CA

"I picked up your album and all I can say is WOW! What gear do you use to get your amazing tone?"
-Mike Berger, Ontario, Canada

"The CD is awesome, full of a wealth of amazing playing. It is an illustration of spirituality that succeeds in completely capturing your attention. I still can't believe how your CD is only selling for $13 while much less-talented people are pricing their CDs for $16 and $18. THE CD IS LOADED."
-Mohammad Jalloul, Torrance, CA

"On this disc some moments are reflective, others compelling, but all of the moods created by Curtis are extremely contagious"
-John Luther, San Francisco, CA

Unique and catchy.
This is a bit different from other bands out there. Curtis is a gifted musician. If you like originality, buy this cd, pop it in and kick back. I also got a free sampler from Curtis' Blue Electric Cool cd and will definitely be purchasing it in the near future along with his self titled release. Thanks for the post card Curtis. Eric
