Album Notes
Dafe (his grown up name is David) Womack has been the music teacher at the Early Child Development Center at Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church in Jackson, Mississippi for over ten years. He writes original songs and rearranges classics to teach his kids numbers, letters, and to help them recognize their feelings. Generally, he sillies up almost everything he comes in contact with.

In this collection, we meet a cast of characters who could only come form Dafe. “Hey Diddle Diddle Ham” reminds us of the nursery rhymes that we grew up with but the Man in the Moon lands in southern Norwich and has an unusual lunch. In “Humpty Dumpty’s Gift”, he falls off the wall but the good news is we all have a big breakfast, compliments of the big egg. “Wheels on the Bus” has a Jamaican feel but there is an uninvited visitor that the driver does not appreciate. There's a song about a Flee that moves away to the zoo.... and a Turtle from New Orleans, who confounds us with her ability to move her house with her wherever she goes. There are Little Trains, Fire trucks, Five Little Monkeys (who have finally gotten names) and an invitation to dance with a beautiful “Ballerina” who has a big surprise for all at the finale. Save that last piece of “Fried Chicken” for Grand pappy. It’s a “most delightful bird”. Then at the end, the “Starlight Medley” tells us that it’s time to wrap up all the fun and surprises and say goodnight. (Was that an owl? Is that a bird? Do you hear that frog?). Goodnight Fun!

And by the way, don’t forget to “Hold Your Nose When You Swallow a Goat”.

I saw David Womack at a child care seminar by jacus and instatly fell in love with his muscic. He had cds for sell at the seminar so I bought and it brought it home to my toddler who started dancing and clapping like crazy. So if you teach a class of toddlers or preschoolers it is a must have item in the classroom as well as the home. The cd and writer will crack you up. From teacher to teacher and mother to mother it is the best 15 dollars I have ever spent. Mississippi

Wonderful, warm, humorous and heartfelt songs!
I just came across this cd by chance and instantly fell in love with it! Congratulations and thanks David - you've created a very distinctive and wonderful album.

Fun! For children and their parents...
I’ve been an admirer of the wit and wisdom of Dafe’s songwriting for years, and am enjoying his entry into the children’s genre, “Hold Your Nose When You Swallow a Goat”. My tweenagers are a little older than the target audience, but we found that there’s something for everyone here. So to anyone who is young, young at heart, or who just enjoys listening to a humorous outlook on life, I say, "Check out Dafe."
