ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Daisy May

(May Erlewine)

Born into a family of musicians May Erlewine has been playing music all her life. She learned to sing and play piano at an early age, and her acoustic guitar is seldom far from her side. Erlewine, who was home schooled, paid her singer-songwriter dues in her late teens with several years of hitchhiking back and forth across the U.S., even riding freight trains, and always writing songs and playing her music.
Daisy May has worked a variety of rooms, mostly on the East Coast and in the Midwest, everything from the Fez, in NYC, Club Passim, in Boston, to a string of venues and festivals in her home state of Michigan, stretching from the Ark in Ann Arbor to the Calumet Theatre in the Upper Peninsula. Her inspired songs and powerful clear voice have a sweetness that keeps audiences calling for more. Now, with four CDs under her belt, Daisy May lives and has her studio in Michigan.

Fell in love
Her first solo CD is a success. Mostly bluegrass, one latin style song, and one about fish. All lovely.

Seth and Daisy May
I love these albums, I saw them in Grand Rapids this summer and their CD's all sold out at the show, so I finally got around to ordering them. Everybody who hears them loves them. How can you not?

Buy This CD!
I saw Daisy first at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival, where she opened up the night; it was the CD release of Mother Moon. None of the bigger names that followed her could top her...she was the highlight of the evening.

Mother Moon is a masterpiece. I never get tired of listening to it, and just seems to get better and better with time.

Where Have you Been!!!
I recently visited Traverse City MI where my niece played this CD for me. I insisted on her ordering two copies for me so I could start to spread the word in Calgary, Alberta Canada. I have just about worn my copy thin! I wish you tremendous success for my sake! I want more of your soulful, beautiful voice!!!
Thank goodness my niece, Shannon, had the pleasure of discovering you!
