ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The "Gasoline" EP reflects a range of roots and roots-rock influences and includes four original songs (Gasoline, My Birmingham, All Gone Now, and Hard Luck Town) as well as a cover of Neil Young's "Heart of Gold." "My Birmingham" placed in the finals of the first ever Canadian Songwriting Competition.

"Gasoline" was recorded with the "LA Rhythm Section" of Kenny Aronoff on drums and James LoMenzo on bass. Dale performed all vocals and guitars, while Montreal's Geoff Mitchell played organ and piano on the tracks.

Dale uses/plays: DR Strings, Blueberry Guitars, TV Jones Pickups and Sennheiser Microphones.

THANKS TO: Mark Dronge & Kimberly Klukosky (DR Strings), Danny Fondefer (Blueberry Guitars); Tom & Sean Jones (TV Jones), and Chris Isaac (Sennheiser). Also, thanks goes out to Dariush Rad and Ethan Willinger (Asterope Cables); and Johnny Hawthorn (Xotic Effects).

This project was funded in part by FACTOR, the Government of Canada and Canada’s private radio broadcasters.

I also acknowledge the financial support of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec towards the creation of this work.
