Album Notes
The newest cd from the DaMaineman C. Nidice entitled "The Anthem Album" is a 5 song E.P. filled with alot of high-energy production and delivery. It was originally supposed to be a single-song cd but I decided to add a few other tracks to give the fans a little diversity and display some songs that have recently had some significant mainstream success in my career. The following is a breakdown of the cd from my own personal view-point.

Song #1 - "Eagles Fight: Fly Or Die", is the top single of the project and the main reason why I recorded it in the first place. Since I'm a DIE-HARD Philadelphia Eagles fan, I recorded an anthem for my fav football team, "Eagles Game-Face", a few years ago and it has received alot of love on-line and from radio stations for the past 3-years (largely due to my agent, another die-hard Birds fan, Frank Da Butcha Petka pushing it to the extreme). This year I finally decided to make an updated anthem called "Eagles Fight: Fly Or Die". There's alot of new faces and changes to the team so I figured it's time to bring it even harder: new names, new hook, and a new beat which I hope all results into one thing.......Super-Bowl Champs! That's my squad and I'm that real with it! To all the fans that bleed green with me, thanks for all the support and I hope you enjoy this one as much as the last one...................Oh yeah, for those fans that catch the Booker line, I recorded the song about a week before preseason, so that's why Lorenzo Booker is still in the song and why I didn't get a chance to add my boy Eldra Buckley and give him his props for making the squad........GO BIRDS!!!!

Song #2 - "Take Ur Pick" was inspired by one of man's most perplexing questions of all-time: (gorgeous gold-diggers vs. not-so-good-looking chicks that treat you like a king…..which one should we choose? Lol). Because of the comedy theme behind it, this song is very different from my usually more underground sound. It has received a staggering amount of audience support so far. Overall, this will probably be the next video from me (and of course will be directed by none other than film-maker Pat Taggart). So don't be surprised when you see DaMaineman have a video coming soon with a Fresh Prince 2010 appeal. "Take Ur Pick" is definitely a song that should be played at every open-bar wedding reception for years to come.

Song #3 - "Saturday" was a track that was previously featured on my last cd "Keyz 2 Da City". With all the love that it has received from shows I've performed and clubs all along the east coast, I figured I'd bring this one back by popular-demand. The theme behind this song is the basic concept that most people relate to - the best day of the week. "Saturday" is just another perfect reason to party.

Song #4 - "But U Say" has a funny story behind this song. For awhile now, I wanted to sample Biz Markie's classic hit "Just A Friend". So I finally recorded my own kinda version with my Exit 5 partner in rhymes, Willeo but we made it a complete party/drinking anthem. A few weeks after we recorded it, I was at my place, sipping on some hennessy watching the NBA playoffs, then suddenly the heineken commercial came on (the one that has everybody in the cab singing "Just A Friend" along with Biz). Yeah, I might've beat heineken to the punch, but I guess great minds think alike, lol. Anyway, check out "But U Say" so you can see what kinda twist we added to it. Warning, it's the only song on the cd with explicit lyrics because it definitely has more of "hood" vibe to it than the original.

Song #5 - "Harry Joe Fight Night" is an entrance anthem that I made for my good friend, boxing professional "Lightning" Harry Joe Yorgey. The song turned out so hot that Harry, Me, PT (Pat Taggart) and Butcha (Frank Petka) decided to make a video for the song. Harry Joe is one of the only boxers to walk to the ring with his own video (not only song). Early in 2009 Harry walked into the Sommet Center in Nashville with the video playing on the megatron screen and he walked out of the ring with the IBF North American Junior Middleweight belt . Since then Harry still has remained undefeated and has also captured the IBA Intercontinental Light Middleweight belt. In the very near future he will be getting a shot at a world championship title and you can bank that on that night he'll be walking into the ring and then leaving as a Middleweight World Champion with "Harry Joe Fight Night" blasting in the background. I am pleased to say that "The Anthem Album" gives Harry's dedicated fans a chance to own "Harry Joe Fight Night" and cheer him on that much more as he storms his way to making history.

Well, that's the overall idea and concept behind "The Anthem Album", so check it out and I hope you dig it. From tailgating to celebrating DaMaineman's representing for the fans on this one.
