ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This third album from Damian Clarke entitled: “Something to say” will mainly feature his own autographical compositions, reflecting his career as a touring musician. Many of the song texts will also appear within the paintings. There are also songs from friends that were deeply significant at times in his life.
Contributions from members of Pressgang; George Whitfield on vocals, accordion and whistles, Cliff Eastabrook on Bass, as well as Marco Neumann from OffLimits on vocals and whistles. Jane Warren also played Recorder.
Some of the music links to paintings by Damian Clarke, that integrate texts from the lyrics into the surface of the paintings. The paintings can be seen at www.damianclarkeart.co.uk

Damian plays concerts featuring two rarely played instruments; the beautiful, romantic Hammer Dulcimer and
the stirring Hurdy Gurdy. Recently he has included his own songs that reflect a life time of touring and extraordinary experiences, songs that have a great story and invite you to sing along. He often performs at community events where he introduces audiences to these rare and delightful instruments. A true modern Minstrel!

His previous CD, “Paths of Desire” follows on from the successful “River Wherever” CD.
“Sparkling programme of refreshing' wandering-minstrel' takes on traditional songs (English, Breton, Plat Deutsch - all sung in the original language), interspersed with tunes... Damian's come up with an inspiring and enjoyable collection." FROOTS
"A charming musical miracle-bag “ FOLKER (Germany)
“hard to choose an outstanding track because they’re all good, Damian’s own compositions stand out.” NONSUCH CLUB MAGAZINE
