“Travelguides” is led by bassist / composer Damon Banks. This multi-media “sound system” takes the listener/viewer on a global music odyssey that combines infectious rhythms with unforgettable melodies, sonic soundscapes, group improvisation, stunning visuals, creative modern dance and spoken word.

Damon Banks is a "world musician" in the truest sense of the word. He has been an in-demand bassist for many years, and has worked with some of the music industry’s most creative artists, innovative musicians and "brightest stars". Some of these artists include: George Benson, Peter Gabriel, Caetano Veloso, Angelique Kidjo, Hassan Hakmoun & Zahar, Chico Hamilton, Arto Lindsay / Marc Ribot, Loose Ends, Wadada Leo Smith, The Neville Brothers, Bobby Womack, C.J. Chenier, Ronny Jordan, Majek Fashek, KRS-ONE, Phyllis Hyman, George Howard, Karsh Kale, DJ. SPOOKY, Min Xiao-Fen, Ntozake Shange, Lawrence "Butch" Morris, Saul Williams, Roxane Butterfly, Angela Bofill and Adam Rudolph (to name a few)

Among the many songs he has written, he co-wrote the song “Where Are You Now" for George Benson (#1 Jazz record 1996) and “Kiss Of A Stranger” for Miki Howard ("Three Wishes" - Grammy nominated album 1999)
