Album Notes
Dr. White has returned from an end-of-year excursion to the beautiful cliffs of the Dana Point Harbor, to capture a few ocean settings to mix into this dreamy and cascading hour-long track of pure ocean from the West Coast of California, in Orange County.
Under the majestic Harbor Point Park and just off the jetty from Dana Cove Park is the Killer Dana Beach, with a serious set of boulders, waves and cliffs that make for great sounding reverberating ocean action. It has been a harbor I have wanted to capture for a while, so you can add it to your natural white noise and ambient nature field recording playlist (if you have one!). I was so glad to go back to my home marina and watch the sunset - and then watch the people leave - so I could have the darkened beach to myself to record the purity of the ocean itself.
Waves are crashing and echoes are shimmering while water splashes between boulders, and the roar of the Doppler Effect from the moving waves pushing air, cascades across the stereo field for you to fully immerse yourself in. There is even an occasional unique hum I noticed that the waves and rocks were producing, and even some subtle crickets that hopefully find their digital way into your living room, or your library headphones, or your cocktail party in the desert with a simulated ocean front effect.
You have another nice hour of all-original ocean sounds recorded by Dr. White for the Dr. White's Noise Division of the Dreamline Institute. When we declassify it, come visit our Audio Therapy HQ, with expanding Audio Therapy technology, recordings and roles to soothe the state of the future as we carve it all together in the name of good thoughts and positive thinking so you future people that we will all rely on, have a nice collection of material in which to immerse and envelop your great creations.
