Album Notes
Dana Rice's Every Everywhere is Spoken Soul along the lines of artists like Jill Scott and Gil Scott-Heron. Her overall sound is a back in the day vibe that gives your ears that comforting feeling of finally being home. Although she is a classically trained pianist, her deepest musical roots are in Gospel and Soul with artists like Sam Cooke and Aretha Franklin. Neo Soul fans will get a warm, fuzzy feeling from her mix of Piano and Vocal sprinkled with Spoken Soul.
Every Everywhere deals with the simple fact that we all need a little help sometimes. The recurring theme "Heaven, help us" is at the very heart of the piece as it acknowledges the fact that although there may be a whole lot of things wrong with us and within us, we can cry out for help and it will come.
