ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Music has a special power to transform intense moments of life into a true message of soul. Music, the voice of nature, is a magical way of communication between the hearts of all us." (D.T.)

Dana Tupinambá belongs certainly to one of the most interest contemporary artists. She developed her own style playing guitar and voice as a unity and using wind instruments with contra canto or unisons leaving free space for improvisations. Groove-beats and lyrical atmosphere gives her music a special Brazilian flair. In 2006 she released her debut album "Rain of Peace" with the original compositions and songs in Vienna where she currently lives. Dana Tupinambá was born in Kosice, East Slovakia in an artistic family. Her mother was a musician and her father a poet. Since her childhood she felt in a love with music and poetry and later studied guitar in Kosice, Vienna and Lisbon.

Her compositions and songs are rich of unexpected harmonies and melodic lines guiding us to a landscape of peace and magic. Nature becomes the main inspiration source of her songs as well as the relationship between the human being and the universe. In her music she tries to capture the spirit of nature elements like the power of sea, the peace of mountains, the singing of birds, the murmur of river etc. Brazilian music, Portuguese fado, folk, world music, jazz and classical music are the roots of her musical world.

Rain of Peace was released 2006 in Vienna, Austria. All songs written, arranged and produced by Dana Tupinambá. Featuring the finest Austrian, Brazilian and Swiss musicians: Matthieu Michel - flugelhorn, Martin Reiter - fender Rhodes, piano, keyboards, melodica, Hans Strasser - double-bass, Ronaldo Saggiorato - electric bass, Robertinho Silva - percussion, Alegre Correa - percussion.
