Colliding Planets

by Dan Farrell

Guitar driven bluesey rock with a warm hug of jazzy soul thrown in for good measure. This third album from Dan Farrell is like a jar of crunchy peanut butter - super smooth, but with enough bite to keep you satisfied.

Album Notes
Indie Singer Songwriter Dan Farrell is from London in the UK. He is better known as a recording musician rather than a LIVE performer although he has played in bands in the past. "Colliding Planets" is his third album recorded entirely at his home studio. Dan is a multi instrumentalist and played everything except drums on the album. “I’ve got this very nice drummer who does anything I want and never complains!" he says.

Dan’s main influences are The Beatles and The Rolling Stones having grown up with their sound. He also loves Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan and Amy Winehouse. Fave guitarists are Keith Richards (Keef), Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) and George Harrison (The Fabs).

"I'm influenced by bands from the 60's and 70's mainly. Guitar based compositions are my thing and but I'm not averse to a bit of groovy soul brass thrown in for good measure"
