ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Lost Teenage Songbook … is my prequel and origin story. Made up of compositions I wrote as a teenager, these songs have been “out of print” for some time and when they were in circulation existed in inferior audio formats. For this album, I resurrected the moniker I used when I was originally writing and performing these songs, the Cherry Flavored Elevator. Making this record has been a passion/side project of mine and I have enjoyed collaborating with my younger self. While preparing this collection, I did not shoot for perfection. Instead, I aimed for a better listening experience and strove to capture the sonic elements I did know how to articulate back then. However, the chord changes, lyrics and general song structures remain the way they were when I first wrote them. Hearing these songs over a decade after their creation, I hear an ambitious kid who loves rock and roll. I hope The Lost Teenage Songbook … brings a smile to your face (and ears) as we travel back to where it all began.
