Album Notes
(We are almost sold out of "Move It". CD Baby is the only place to now get it. Once we're sold out that's it. )

Forget about the Swing revival of the nineties. Forget about the Rockabilly revival of the eighties. Danny Dean and the Homewreckers prove that vintage rock and roll isn't just a fad, but a lifestyle.

The act that Swing Time magazine calls "rebellious with a touch of class" has been pulling audiences onto dance floors all over the country. With over twenty years of guitar playing and singing experience in the fields of surf, punk, new wave and progressive rock, California native Danny Dean learned the hard way how to please a crowd. Now, his modern spin on the styles of early rock and roll keep the spirit of Bill Haley and the Comets and other classic suit and tie combos alive for this generation and the next.

Danny and his band of road tested veterans (Including hard twanging upright bass player Gavin Jones, who's been with him since the Homewreckers' started in 1997) give the customers their money's worth, whether in local clubs or in larger international venues. They hold their own with established acts when it comes to audience response, as they've demonstrated on tour with the likes of The Specials and the English Beat.

Their debut CD "Move It", recorded with renown studio pros Jay Baumgardner, Bob Saling and Steve Misdorf, snared great reviews from Blue Suede News and much of the Los Angeles area press. The CD features Danny's revamping of Cliff richard's Classic hit "Move It" (Complete with new lyrics by the original writer, Ian Samwell) and his own signature tune, Thunderbirds Are Go" - a brilliant tribute to the legend of the American road. All tracks feature Danny's smooth old-fashioned baritone, a voice striking enough to give even jaded old record collectors pause.

You can almost taste the milkshakes while you listen
Very fun stuff. Exactly what you'd need if you're in the mood for some old rockin' in the diner music. It's found a good home on my iPod.

Great classic 50's style rockabilly.
This CD has agreat classic 50's style rockabilly. T-birds are go is a real cool swing song and Bad Girls Who Smoke rocks. If you like Oldies and old school swing and rockabilly get Move IT!

Killer smoky honk-tonk Rockabilly!
This disc rocks HARD!, this album is too cool for words, everyone I play it for loves it, old school Rockabilly (and they mean it), I would bet that these guys smell like gasoline, if/when these boys come to Houston I will be there with my pointy toed shoes on, I just bought the other disc.

Come On, Let's Go!
It's time to party. Pure rock and roll, for a good time and a dance. Nothing but the real thing - no interlectual smartpissing! But here and there a touch of rebellion youth. The sound of red shoes and a - sometimes blue - full moon. The sound of dreams, young lovers, night pedestrians, backalley cats, fun and frustration, angry men and sweet girls. Or in some cases oposite.Hard driving beat with catchy melodies. This is it. Put your catclose on and let's dance!

Classy Rock 'N' Roll!!!!!!!!!!
These guys are fantastic. REAL catchy Rock"n"Roll. I've listened to a lot of Rockabilly over the years, and much of it is really obscure and "thin" sounding. The "50's sound" isn't the essence of the music...it's just primitive recording equipement! Danny and the boys have managed to capture the energy and excitement of early r'n'r and given it a fresh sound, taking advantage of modern production. These guys really know how to rock.
Can't wait for their other CD to arrive!

Danny Dean
His voice is amazing.

Old School Sound
As my collection or Rockabilly grows I'm always looking for artists and albums to add, and this one was a great addition. Danny Dean & the Homewreckers gave me a good dose of the traditional rockabilly sound yet they managed to have their own distinct sound or is it their own distinct energy. Just what it is I can't really put my finger on, but when I added them to the 250 other songs on my mp3 player I was able to easily pick their music out of the crowd and I can guarantee if you like rockabilly, you'll love this album.

Rocks! Great Clean Sound
The CD is great, was looking for some rockabilly, and this is an excellent one. I like the songs, including the double take of 'Thunderbirds Go'. And the dumb-a$$ recording engineer (sorry if a friend) on the end of 'Momma' says 'almost perfect...', when in fact it was :-). Great CD!
