Album Notes
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Danny is an eclectic singer / songwriter / multinstrumentalist now living in Asheville NC. His first CD 'This Tenderness' is an extremely personal journey exploring the human thirst for joy and fulfillment. "If you ever wondered what would happen if you let go to the feeling of longing in your heart, this might be the CD for you." This CD has many dimensions; the listener can either relax and float with the melodies and rhythms or enjoy the lyrical depth of a love that can be either human or divine.

This is a lovely addition to my music collection.
I am aware for a number of years that Danny had material, such as is on this CD, written. One of my all time favourites is a song Move Along written by Danny. After hearing Move Along I always hoped to hear more songs by him with depth and honesty. The wait has been well worthwhile.

This Tenderness
The yearning and longing, devotion and gratitude, aching and ecstasy in Danny Ellis's poetry and music help me touch my own when it feels far away, (as it too often does.) This CD is truly a work of love. It tastes of Kabir and Rumi, Zen masters and Christian mystics, and is wonderfully different than all of these.
