Album Notes
Here are a few comments on some of the songs I have written that have been well received on some radio stations, that are on this album... I call these songs, the dark dozen. But, there is always a positive message to be found in that choices can be made to make a difference in peoples lives. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and if you decide to download my music ,I sure thank you.

I recorded all of these tracks live and I am playing all the acoustic instruments which are an old flattop guitar(with my vocals) an old upright Bass and my Harlow resonator guitar. I added some Banjo on Track number two. Track #8 and #12 are true factual songs from people I personally know.

"Danny Lee Allison has captured the essence and feel of Johnny Cash and his pain in his newly penned song "Our Final Ride". Reminds me of Johnny's last project and the sad feeling of a live lived and shortened by Father Time. I love true story songs, this one, about a trio of good friends - that have grown older together, shared in each others' lives, and will continue to the end of "their" ride here on earth. Sad, dark, but really says something as it plays out. Are the golden years, really golden? Or filled with dark despair for those who reach the end of their rides? Its up to the listener to decide for her/himself. I hope this tune pockets this writer a pocket full of gold, so his last regret can be assuaged, and so he can know that he did make a difference in other lives, as he has in mine. Great job, Danny Lee Allison" ...........Gracie Muldoon, Founder, WorldWideBluegrass.com

"Just A Picture,Of An Old Memory"
Well Mr DA you out done yourself this time. To bad The Possum isn't still around, you could send it to him( I even heard a twinge of him in your voice singing it) Wow. Country side you should send to someone like Alan Jackson, if Randy Travis was still on the chart's he would be good, You did good Pal " I Love it!"

Thanks; DJ Uncle Billy Dunbar

Evening Danny,
>> Like your new song "Old Horses In The Rain" very much; I'll be playing it on the show this coming
>> Mondaynight. apart from the truth of its theme it has a real almost
>> cowboy western feel about it, so I've taken the liberty of forwarding
>> iton to Mick Coates who does a two-hour show each Monday night (our local
>> time here) on PhoenixFM for his interest. You can pick up his show on
>> www.phoenixfm.org commencing at eight a.m. on a Monday morning your time.
>> Thank you very much for sending across your song; keep up the good work.

I've accused you of writing some great songs in the past, but you've outdone it this time. "Our final ride " got caught in my throat as I was listening to it. I too have had friends that could well be a part of that song. You struck home with a great song. Can't wait to air it. Thank you for sharing it.

Danny Lee's album
Finally, Danny Lee Allison get's his album done. Danny lee has been sending me cuts for three years wanting to know if they were OK. Most were perfect and ready to go, but as a working guy trying to also find time for his music, the process was slow. It's great to see him finally get his music out there for the world to hear and enjoy. He is a diligent and tenacious writer, not cranking them out, but paying attention to all the details to create the songs you hear here. Bravo Danny and I hope you folks enjoy his great songs.
