Album Notes
Danny Quinn is a singer/songwriter who has travled throughout the U.S., Ireland, Canada and England performing his own brand of American and Irish Folk songs. For Family and Friends was Danny's first solo album released in 1984. At the time of the release Danny was touring the country in a group called Stoutheart sponsored by Guinness Stout. The cd includes seven songs written by Danny. There is a special guest appearance by Danny's dad Richard Quinn who performs a beautiful version of Vale of Avoca. The song Piano in the Morning was written about Danny's dad and grandfather. The cd ends with haunting Eric Bogle song The Band Played Waltzing Matilda. It is a favorite of many Danny Quinn fans and friends. Join the happy listeners and get a copy of your own.
