ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Dan River Girls are three sisters from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Fiona, 18, plays mandolin and cello; Ellie, 16, plays double bass; and Jessie, 14, plays classical violin and fiddle. On Sounds of Skye they play a mix of traditional and contemporary Scottish fiddle tunes. O.Henry Magazine just named them one of "the next wave of contenders": "The Burdette sisters. . .will one day be huge. . .Wait and see — huge."
