Dan Seiden

by Dan Seiden

This album was originally conceived as a take on The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. The arrangements are spare with a single acoustic guitar and vocal getting the word across most of the time. There's more though, including the double solo redefined.
Genre: Folk: Urban Folk

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Hi, This is Dan. I hope you enjoy this self titled record. I started playing guitar and dreaming of glory when I was eleven years old in NYC, living in Queens and taking the subway to the city every day. I studied rock with Phil Bowditch who wrote out Blackbird and gave me 500+ more song sheets of The Band, The Rolling Stones, Richard Thompson, you name it. As the years progressed I studied Jazz with Bob Rosen at Buck’s Rock and experimental modern classical music with Gerald “Shep” Shapiro at Brown University. In the 90’s, I played in The Round Band with Joe Quigley, bass, and Jon Feinberg, drums. I had a cup of coffee as a studio musician for Jewel and as a writer for Lisa Loeb. Eventually, I moved to Vermont where I've continued to practice, write and produce. I've amassed loads of songs and released them primarily on my website, danseiden.com. This new work is the result of the generosity of David Snyder of Guilford Sound, Guilford VT, who comped me time at his world class facility.
