Wow. Just... wow.
I discovered Dan Warren through the SA-forums (somethingawful). I saw a topic where he declared his new album was finished and available from free download. That album was The Scientist. At first I figured it must be terrible, but I saw the responses. Everyone loved it. So I listened to it, and dear God. It was great. The lyrics hit so well home with its talk about parallel universes and the title track describes the feeling of pointlessness in your work so well.

And then, when I listened to this release, Depatures... I could not believe it. This may very well be one of the finest, most emotionally stirring albums I've ever listened to. I must be joking, right? No. I'm not. This music is brilliant and I feel privileged to have it in my collection.
