Album Notes
Regarding one of the songs on this album, Major General Nolan Sklute, USAF (Retired) wrote, “I recently had the opportunity to hear Dan Willis’ new song, 12/24, that was written for the Holiday Season, especially for our troops serving at locations far from home and families. It is indeed a marvelous work that carries a lasting impression. My deep gratitude is extended to Dan for his significant contribution to our men and women in uniform, their families and our great Nation.”

That same song prompted this statement: “I am Major General John Phillips, retired and former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense-Logistics). In both capacities, I have had the pleasure of seeing and hearing the best patriotic and inspirational music in America performed by the best artist. I with to commend Mr. Dan Willis for his writing and singing of the song: 12/24. It ranks among the most inspirational and meaningful songs I have heard. His voice will capture the listening audience. The words resonate with all who hear the song. Our troops in and out of uniform deserve to hear the words of praise and gratitude. It is a fitting tribute to their service and sacrifice while assuring America’s support and indebtedness.”

Producer Harrison Tyner wrote: “Working with Dan Willis has always been an exciting experience. From a professional point of view, he has never let me down in a recording studio. After listening to Dan on this album and his other album (Semi-Love), you’ll come to understand why Dan Willis is so admired.”

8-time Grammy winning engineer, Tom Pick, wrote: “On this album you will experience some of the Elvis style songs. After listening I am sure you will understand why I am so proud to be a part of it.”

Heart to Heart
Dan has a knack of writing straight from the heart. His voice is as clear as it was in 1970 when I had the privilege of meeting him in Va. Beach. I could close my eyes and the voice from decades ago came roaring back. Wow! A real pleasure to hear after all these years.
