Album Notes
Renowned Author, Broadcaster and Musicologist Larry Pryce has compared UK based singer, songwriter, musician DaPaul to the great Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, whilst other comparisons have been made to the fantastic Herbie Hancock. Regardless of this DaPaul is quite simply an accomplished artist in his own right whose time is now.

DaPaul has a special quality that connects his creatively and sense of place to listeners with the world around them. Each of his songs resonates with life in the moment and reflects the musicality of his surroundings through a lyrical content with real purpose and meaning.

The period leading to ‘London Town’ on the back of the success of his album ‘Soulful Spirit’ (that reached No3 in the UK Soul Chart) have been among his most productive; with feelings towards his beloved hometown London being the inspiration behind it.

More recently DaPaul released his single ‘LONDON TOWN’ (Christmas Mix) - December 2015) and his EP ‘In The Sun’ (May 2016).

‘LONDON TOWN’ is an up-tempo song about being a Londoner in current society and the legacy of a great city that reminded us that people are more alike than they are different, a message that has never been more relevant than in the World today. It is a song that was destined to become the title track for his forthcoming album. It is quite simply an anthem for one of the World’s greatest cities …….. London.

DaPaul will be releasing his new album ‘LONDON TOWN’ on CD on 22 November 2016. It will feature 10 songs plus 2 bonus tracks including uniquely both the summer and Christmas mix of the title track ‘LONDON TOWN’.

The album is a joyful collection of well-crafted and uplifting songs that will leave music lovers with a sense of happiness and well-being.

Among these great songs is a special treat for music-lovers, it’s a duet called ‘THE WAY I DO’ with the incredible Korin Deanna, a U.S. based Pop / R&B Atlanta artist whose recent songs featured on radio stations around the World include ‘Paralyzed’ and ‘Don’t You Tell Me (I’m Afraid).

‘THE WAY I DO” will be available from 15 October to those making digital Pre-release purchases from iTunes, the Official release date is 11/14/2016. Fans can also look forward to new music video featuring both DaPaul & Korin Deanna early in 2017.

Other tracks including ‘HOLIDAY’ include the delightful and emotional violin playing of Sam West.

Ultimately, this is a beautiful collection of soul-jazz, soul-pop and gospel songs that will appeal to a wide range of music lovers.

DaPaul says

‘LONDON TOWN’ “is about my journey as an individual and independent artist; I want people to know that whatever obstacles and adversity life may throw at you - believe in yourself and your given purpose no matter what others might think. If you fail get up and try again. Happiness is not a destination but a journey.”

He takes every opportunity to stress, that “no matter how hard people try to create differences and divisions, we are all ultimately the same. I hope that people will enjoy LONDON TOWN but more importantly that it will give hope and encouragement to others and the realisation of their dreams”.
