ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Just released - new material from this powerful female singer-songwriter from her 1990 - 1995 US and world tours.

Singer/Songwriter DARIA (Daria Marmaluk-Hajioannou) has been writing, touring and performing music around the world for almost 3 decades. A combination of profound and poetic lyrics with a wry wit and a determined social conscience, she has been called a “humanist rocker” by Philly’s Kollage Magazine, and an “ambassador of song” by the Newark Star-Ledger. A review by the Christian Science Monitor heralded: “When Daria Marmaluk-Hajioannou makes music, the world listens – literally! “

This mini-cd contains 4 tracks. “Montgomery Rose” serves as an anthem for anyone who has perpetually been underestimated, misunderstood or left without a voice. “I’ll Be Alright” is a bittersweet break-up song with lines like:” I could have lived and died slowly, or let go of your hand.” Sam’s Story is about the loss of our small towns. Not just our jobs, but the fabric of communities when good people are left without decent options for making a living or making a life. “Loves Ya Back Again” completes the album on an upbeat note. It’s about what happens when love is done right and how life can change when “the one you love – love’s you back again”.
