Through this album, I would to offer you pathways to enter into states of stillness by disconnecting from your thoughts, regrets, and anxieties. Each track can be used as a musical mantra, a focal point of your mediation practice, or when deep relaxation is desired. By channeling streams of sacred universal energy into the creation of this album, I hope to provide an environment where you can connect with the infinite bliss that constantly resides within you.

Although I was unaware of it, this album began writing itself in 2007. During that summer, I sketched the opening strains of “How I Am.” I instantly fell in love with the sketch. But, I had recently graduated from six years of university studies in classical music. While I grew a great deal as an artist during that time, I was also indoctrinated with a very specific style, sound, and look of what constituted “good classical music.” Because the sketch of “How I Am” did not fit into any of these rigid concepts, I did not know how to develop it. Over the next five years, short but powerful bursts of musical energy would come to me. With each successive sketch, I was similarly vexed on how to grow them into “appropriate” works that would conform to the limited range of “good classical music.” I was artistically trapped, emotionally paralyzed with a fear of breaking any of the imaginary rules that all classical musicians subconsciously agree to follow and propagate.

For the next six years, I did not understand what the sketches were or how they related to each other until I came back from my yoga and meditation studies in India and Thailand in the winter of 2013. The mindfulness and freedom I gained during that time helped me release my indoctrinated views of how music was supposed to sound. So, when I reviewed the sketches again, I was able to see them for the first time as they truly were: meditations. Suddenly, the route to this album was obvious. I collected all of my sketches that had similar transcendent feelings and started to arrange them into full length piano solos.

Please note, Track 6, "Body/Mind As a Vibratory Field of Energy," was written immediately following a visual meditation over Alex Grey's painting of the same title.
