Album Notes
David Cumes was born and raised in South Africa and has been exploring ancient African wisdom for contemporary ideas on healing for some time. He has been initiated as an African shaman (sangoma or inyanga) and can testify personally to the value of their divining techniques, the powerful rituals and plant medicines, the altered states of consciousness induced by drumming and the diagnostic power of the "bones."

Since his initiation, Dave has been receiving songs in his dreams. Some are African, some Celtic, some Chassidic and some native American. Though he is not a musician, the ancestors have told Dave that the songs are for healing and must be sung by him. Dave practices indigenous healing in Santa Barbara, California.

All songs were produced, arranged and recorded by Eugene Havenga in South Africa. Dave performed the lead vocals and all other vocals and all instruments were performed by Eugene Havenga.
