Album Notes
An accomplished veteran of the Pittsburgh, Midwest and East Coast music scenes since 1965, Dave counts The Beatles as his primary influence. The "Foolish Heart" EP is Dave's debut recording of original material. It is an eclectic collection of influences, from Brit Pop of the Sixties to contemporary, hard rocking party tunes. Recorded in Pittsburgh at Diversity Studio and produced/engineered by multi-instrumentalist Buddy Hall, "Foolish Heart" includes performances by nationally known virtuoso guitarist Steve Dudas (Ringo Starr, Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith) as well as Pittsburgh musicians Pete Hewlett, Joe Munroe, Wayne Somerville, Jason Kendall and Jim "Doc" Dougherty as well as Hall himself. Reb Beach of Whitesnake and Winger also makes a special appearance, although not in the way you might imagine.

Dave's first three singles have charted on indie radio networks worldwide since February 2019. "Mid-Century Man" continues to be a Top 10 favorite on Zootapradio (ZTR.FM) in Fort Worth, Texas, and on Spectrum Radio in the UK. Both "Be the Sunshine" and Fading Away" have appeared in the Top 10 in the UK, South Africa, Australia, Canada, Sweden and various US stations.

Michael Charles of B.I.G. Indie Giant (S. Africa), had this to say about Dave's music:

"The minute I heard Dave Molter's 'Mid-Century Man' I was immediately hooked. The song is easy on the ear and very radio friendly. It feels like a familiar friend out of the 60's songbook up there with the greats of the Fab Four!

'Be The Sunshine' takes you deeper into the psychedelic tapestry of Dave's songwriting and musical talent. It's like a magic carpet ride, and I don't want to get off!'"

Host Bob Cesca of the Bob Cesca Show podcast used "Be the Sunshine" as bumper music. Says Bob, "Holly crap! I love your music! I love prog rock, and 'Be the Sunshine' has all the elements!"

Dave plans a full-CD followup to "Foolish Heart" -- "Mid-Century Man" -- in early 2020.

Dave views "Mid-Century Man" as a vehicle to spread a positive message about the power of love in today's world.

Says Dave, ""The songs have the unifying theme of love -- as I sing in "Mid-Century Man" -- "an emotion we don't have enough of. It's all in there: first love; love lost; love squandered; love regained; stupid love; funny love; love unrequited; love that makes you want to scream from the rooftops. Love that makes you kick furniture. I mean ... doesn't everyone?

"John Lennon said it best in 1968: 'All you need is love.' I still believe it."
