After years of trying to hit it big in various bands throughout his teenage years, Dave Montana has now moved forward as a solo pop rock artist with an album titled, "Such Things As Love and Pain". With vocal stylings that are reminiscent of 80s pop rock singers his music is a nice mix of toe tapping pop music to more serious guitar rock. Check it out.

Dave Montana is one of the newer breed of musicians who create music independently. The vision and the voice are his own, and there's plenty to like about it all..

How is one to describe the talents of artist Dave Montana? Just listen to the songwriter/musician new effort "Such Things As Love and Pain" and you will get the answer. The cd features everything from straight ahead rock-and-roll to dance remixes of several of the featured tracks. The album has a very personal feel, as Dave pours his heart into such tracks as "I Want Someone", "Walking on a Thin Line" and "I Love You (Mother's Song)". My favorite tracks include "I Don't Believe in Love" and "Burning Inside", both of which are fine examples of top-notch songwriting. In addition, the track "Collecting Dust" could be a sleeper hit if given the chance. Be sure to latch onto this release from Dave Montana for a fine example of a multi-talented artist.

A blistering set which won't let me stop listening
Dave Montana, whose soulful expressive voice and intricate rock\pop tunes will not leave my head has made a huge impact on my CD changer in a very short time. As a result I've listened to nothing else but Montana's stellar new disc "Such Things as Love and Pain" ever since I saw him perform live. Standout tracks to listen for include the monster rock tune "Collecting Dust", the heavy-hearted but fiercely stated "Walking on a Thin Line", the 60's Phil Spector inspired wall of sound of "For The Last Time", the addictively beautiful "I Love You (mother's song)", and the opening track of the album and his set at Seattle's Timberline Club on April 15\05, "Fade Away". Check out Montana at the link on the left. He has been playing and singing since the age of 4 and I can't wait to see what he does next, what an absolute discovery he is! Thanks Dave for not playing to trends and just writing and performing what's real for you. It really shines through.
