Album Notes
Since 2006, the Dave Paris Group has been amazing and inspiring audiences. With a meld of aggressive guitar-fueled modern and blues instrumentals in the vein of Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, and Steve Vai, the band also performs their original vocal tunes with a "Skillet meets Flyleaf" style featuring bassist/vocalist Barbe Paris, drummer Robert Yoder has been with the band since 2007. The group has performed at clubs, fairs and festivals, and is a recurring act at the Northwest Iowa Christian music festival Bash on the Farm.

Guitar virtuoso Dave Paris is truly a "guitar player's guitar player." His versatility has been seen and heard in many genres outside of his own group. As a private guitar instructor, Dave often conducts clinics at youth groups and venues where his band plays. He also performs as a solo acoustic artist, covering classical and jazz arrangements in coffeehouses, and has opened for jazz saxophonist Walter Beasley. Dave is also the guitarist for Diana Upton Hill, a Southeast Iowa performer who's "Pop Orchestra" features a full band and string section, and packs auditoriums with a Mannheim Steamroller and Trans-Siberian Orchestra oriented Christmas program.

October 2010 marks the release of his six-song project "Words and Music". The collection provides the crowd favorites from their high energy live show, and features songs that emphasize the group's versatility. Highlights include "Shoes", a modern/hard rock, low-tuned arrangement showcasing Barbe's high soprano range and Dave's powerful riffing, as well as the alternative song "Sometimes", which features introspective lyrics and wah pedal solos. "Childlike Faith" is an alt/worship power ballad that features driving acoustic and electric guitar as well as harmony solos, and the instrumental "Greater than Angels" features the "talkbox" guitar effect, varying tempos and modern metal drumming.

David from Liverpool, England

Wow, Dave Paris is a guitar wizard. Perfect licks - fast and fun. Great tracks. EP hits you hard and happy the first four notes sung by Barbe Paris. Really enjoy the rap-style, hard-hitting 'On My Worst Day' -- really humbling words (play it on the way to work and the day will be easier than ususal). Amazing Dave has taken these ordinary Christian issues and turned them into in your face messages that'll have you humming all day. The insturments are unbelievable. Well done.
